Maine, at the same piece of shoreline where I took the previous pictures.
It was a pretty boring place, but, suddenly, a terrible cataclysm occurred - with the exception of a scattered few clouds, the atmosphere above and around us suddenly drained off into space, rendering the sky totally black despite the fact that it was sunny and the middle of the day. I took this picture just before we all collapsed from asphyxiation.
Obviously, we eventually awoke, much to our surprise, and were amazed to find the atmosphere mysteriously restored. To this day, we have no explanation for what befell us. This is the only piece of evidence we have of what happened.
Nah, just kidding... :-) I just decided to see what would happen if I pointed the camera directly at the sun and took a picture. Well, I definitely didn't expect the sky to turn black. Kind of neat.
