And the next picture I took after we left Walden Pond - Thoreau's grave, in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery (not the really famous one, which is in New York), Concord, Massachusetts.
Oddly enough, just like the first Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, we weren't even looking for it. We just stopped to look at some old church or something, and some guy who happened to be there told us about the nearby cemetery, so, we headed there next.
Henry David Thoreau, Louisa May Alcott, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Ralph Waldo Emerson are all buried quite close to each other in the same general area of this cemetery.
I uploaded this picture to this location in Wikipedia, where some unappreciative person moved it out of the Henry David Thoreau article. Hmph.
Heh, slightly weird synchronicity... within the couple minutes or so that I was taking to put the finishing touches on this web page, a commercial came on TV for some local mattress seller by the name of "Sleepy Hollow". Sheesh.
